Synopsis

Following the suicide of his wife, Eyal, an Israeli Mossad agent is assigned to track down and kill a Nazi war criminal by befriending his grandchildren.  Posing as a tour guide, Eyal and Axel, the grandson, tour the country and visit with Axel’s sister, Pia, who now lives in Israel on a kibbutz.

It is revealed in the film that Pia’s estrangement with her parents began when she discovered they were hiding her grandfather. Axel, young and naïve, had no knowledge of his parents’ actions.  Despite Eyal’s macho exterior, he becomes close with the alternative Axel and makes his way to Germany in order to carry out his mission.

Not only is Walk on Water a film filled with action and excitement, it is a story about unexpected friendship, that makes us question our own morality.
