These exchanges will be held alongside chance encounters with people in the streets of Jerusalem.

- DocAviv Festival 2011 will take place for the 13th year in Tel Aviv.
- In addition to dozens of documentary film screenings, the program includes five different competitions, workshops and other special events such as music shows at the pier.
- Of particular interest in the Israeli Special screenings, there is a film entitled "Memories of the Eichman Trial" that discusses how the trial affected them and transformed Israeli perceptions of the Holocaust and the survivors.

Why: This multicultural student art work exhibition examines the encounter between the two main languages of this region, Hebrew and Arabic.
- Through the languages, the students created bilingual typographic installations trying to understand the complexity of the space in which we live- a space of contradictions, conflicts, and lack of understanding and communication.
- "Shibboleth" is a term denoting separation, exclusion, and differentiation between different groups.
- Jaffa was chosen to display the art work because it is a meeting point between the languages, cultures, past, present, and future, fitting to the theme of this project.

- This screening replaced the originally planned film in honor of Juliano Mer Khamis, the recently assassinated actor and director - The film tells the story of Palestinian children in the Jenin refugee camp who participated in the theater that was established by Mer Khamis's mother, Arna, during the first intifada.
- An interview with the artist held a few weeks ago and never before seen will be screened before the movie

Why: The Independent Salon- An art show that deals with the aspects of taboo
- The Salon was first held in 2010 under the title "The Salon of the Rejected", with the purpose of providing a platform for for artists rejected by the Fresh Paint Art Fair Committee. This year the only requirement for entrance is that the work deals with the subject of the taboo.
- On display will be works by Ha'Agaf, Hanina and dozens of other local artists
- Following two nights of candle lit viewing of the art, the grand opening will be at 12 on Friday afternoon
- There will be a public discussion on Sat at 3 pm to explore the future of the Neve Sha'anan neighborhood with delegates representing the full diversity of the community
