Who is Behind Omanoot?

Edoe Cohen

Executive Director         >>edoe@omanoot.com

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Edoe moved to Israel with his family as a teenager. His love affair with the arts began while he was at a Jerusalem arts high school, where he received a prize for a film he wrote and directed. Edoe has a B.A. in Political Science and Modern Jewish Studies from Columbia University. Before Omanoot Edoe served as a Legacy Heritage Fellow at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem.

Lindsay Citerman

Director of Education >>lindsay@omanoot.com

Lindsay is an educator at heart. Aside from having a B.A. in Middle East and Asian Languages and Cultures from Columbia University, she has an M.A. in Jewish Philosophy from Tel-Aviv University and the Melamdim teaching program at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem. In New York, Lindsay taught and developed curricula at public and Jewish Day schools. After arriving in Israel, Lindsay taught English in the Ethiopian community and Jewish culture and Bible in Jerusalem. Lindsay doubles as a hipster DJ when the occasion calls for it.

Danielle Fenster

Business Development Intern      >>danielle@omanoot.com

After ten years, Danielle has finally landed back in Israel and is thrilled to finally experience Israel's art first hand. Hailing from New York City, she worked in the fashion industry after graduating with a degree in Business Management from Penn State University. She acquired a passion for the arts while studying contemporary art in London, and also has a huge place in her heart for ballet and modern dance. When she's not traveling or roaming the city, Danielle is probably in the audience at a Broadway show - she's been to 60 different ones!

Deborah Plum

Director of Development >>deborah@omanoot.com

A recent graduate of Columbia University, Deborah has a B.A. in Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures. At Columbia, she helped coordinate a successful large-scale Israel fair, in addition to co-founding and running an Israeli style café, which also served as a venue for cultural events. Deborah moved to Israel in 2007 and spent her first year in Israel teaching at the Yad B'Yad co-existence school in Jerusalem. Deborah loves animals. She recently adopted a puppy and is looking for a horse.

Michelle Grosberg

Art Writer Intern      >>michelle@omanoot.com

Michelle has had a passion for art ever since she began sticking glue covered feathers onto construction paper in kindergarten (and critically examining the gooey creations of her peers). She now holds a B.A. in Film Studies and English from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. It was through the Oranim Five Month Internship Program that Michelle became involved with Omanoot where she is interning as a writer. Before moving to Israel, Michelle worked at Jacob Burns Film Center and assisted with their Summer Teacher's Institute Program. She is enjoying immersing herself in Israeli culture.
